Example: Small gates are approximately 10' to 11' wide, however the overwhelming majority of home gates are approximately 11' to 13' wide. If you live on acreage you probably will need a larger 13' to 14' wide gate. Anything over 15' wide we recommend double gates.

If you need fence beside your gate just step it off quickly. Example: (1 large step = approximately 3'). If you took 2 large steps from your driveway toward your house it would measure about 6' feet, etc. If you need fence on both sides of your driveway step it off and give us the approximate footage in the fence form box below.

Keep in mind before we start we will meet you at your home to review all the final measurements
and details in person. If your estimated measurements are off a foot or so we will adjust the price per foot based on the price sheet we are sending you. Changes can be make on your order up till the day we set the post.

Choose from the following:

Gate:

Small Gate:     10’ to 11’ = If your drive through feels narrow.
Average Gate:  11’ to 13’ = Most average homes
Large Gate:       13’ to 14’ = Usually ranch or acreage

Measuring Hint:  At the bottom of each website gate picture we have stated the gate and fence footage to give you a visual perspective of approximate sizes.
